After more than three months of production, on the morning of March 20, 2007, in Linh Tay commune, Thu Duc district, Ho Chi Minh City, the Industrial Mechanical and Construction Joint Stock Company (IMECO), a subsidiary of Saigon Beer, Wine and Beverage Corporation, shipped 600 tons of cable reel turntable equipment to PROMECON Group (Denmark). This equipment, valued at 1.2 million euros, is part of a total contract for 3,000 tons of equipment for the entire year of 2007, worth over 3 million euros.
This year, IMECO produced mechanical equipment for the food and beverage processing industry, achieving a revenue of over 80 billion VND.
This marks the first time IMECO has successfully manufactured mechanical equipment according to European standards. The equipment requires a high level of expertise in precision machining and the construction of oversized and heavy structures.
