1979: Company Establishment
 
The Industrial Mechanical and Construction Joint Stock Company, abbreviated as IMECO, was established on August 20, 1979, as the predecessor of Tan Binh Electromechanical Enterprise – a member of the Instant Noodle and MSG Union, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
 
1992 – 1996: Brand Rebranding
 
In 1992, Tan Binh Electromechanical Enterprise was renamed the Mechanical and Food Processing Plant by the Ministry of Light Industry, according to Decision No. 522/CNN-TCLD dated July 2, 1992, of the Ministry of Light Industry.
 
On May 7, 1993, the Mechanical and Food Processing Plant was established according to Decision No. 448/CNN-TCLD of the Ministry of Light Industry.
 
In 1996, according to Decision No. 1409/QD-TCCB of the Ministry of Industry, the Food Machinery Factory was renamed the Food Machinery Company.
 
On August 12, 1999, according to Decision No. 52/1999/QD-BCN of the Ministry of Industry, the Food Machinery Company was transformed into the Industrial Machinery and Construction Company, under the General Corporation of Industrial Machinery and Equipment.
 
On May 5, 2004, according to Decision No. 32/2004/QD-BCN of the Ministry of Industry, the Industrial Machinery and Construction Company was transferred to become an independent accounting member of the Saigon Beer, Wine and Beverage Corporation.
 
The Industrial Machinery and Construction Joint Stock Company is a joint stock company converted from a state-owned enterprise according to Decision No. 3285/QD-TCCB dated July 22, 2005, of the Minister of Industry. Initial Business Registration Certificate No. 4103004265 dated January 16, 2006, issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City, and accompanying amended and supplementary certificates.
 
2009: Transparency
 
Industrial Mechanical and Construction Joint Stock Company (IMECO) officially listed its shares on the UPCOM trading system on December 1, 2009, with the stock code: IME. The total value of the initial listing was VND 30 billion.
 
2009 – 2022: Approaching International Standards
 
IMECO achieved ISO standards and TUV certification, gradually meeting international technical standards and expanding its ability to participate in large projects and foreign markets.
 
2022 – Present: Affirming its Position
 
Over more than 45 years of establishment and development, IMECO has continuously strived to successfully achieve the annual goals and objectives set by the General Shareholders’ Meeting, as well as ensuring its full contribution to the State Budget. Currently, IMECO has become a reputable mechanical engineering enterprise, participating in many domestic and international projects, aiming for sustainable development and expansion into international markets.

IMECO has been awarded ISO 45001:2018 certification for its occupational safety and health management system.

IMECO 2021

IMECO has been awarded the CWB W47 Certificate for its production control system according to Canadian standards.

IMECO 2018

IMECO has been awarded ISO 3834 and EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 certificates.

IMECO 2015

IMECO has been awarded the EN 1090-2 Steel Structure Production Management Certificate by TUV Rheinland – Germany.

IMECO 2014

IMECO receives the First Class Labor Medal.

IMECO 2012

IMECO has been awarded the EN 3834-2 Welding Management Certificate by Lloyd’s – Netherlands.

IMECO 2010

IMECO has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification by DNV.

IMECO 2009

IMECO receives the Second Class Labor Medal.

IMECO has been awarded the QC100 TQM Comprehensive Quality Management System certification by BID in Geneva, Switzerland.

IMECO 2008

IMECO receives Safety Certification from Promecon – Denmark.

IMECO 2006

The company was equitized and became the Industrial Mechanical and Construction Joint Stock Company.

IMECO 2004

IMECO has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate by DNV.

IMECO 2003

IMECO received a gold medal and a quality cup for boilers and pressure equipment at the NEEM Fair.

IMECO 2000

Imeco received the Third-Class Labor Medal from the President of Vietnam.

IMECO 1997

IMECO Joint Stock Company, a mechanical and industrial construction company, was established on August 20, 1979.
